About Me

Jocelyn is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and has worked with individuals and families through all different stages of life. Jocelyn focuses on creating a judgement-free space and uses a mix of client-centered therapy and CBT to help clients during their healing journey. She believes that everyone has a unique story, and will tailor treatment to honor your goals for therapy.  

Jocelyn earned a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Capella University, where she developed a strong foundation in evidence-based counseling practices and ethical, client-centered care. Jocelyn strives to lead sessions with empathy and cultural awareness, allowing her to support individuals from diverse backgrounds and life experiences.

Jocelyn specializes in family therapy, working with families to improve communication, strengthen relationships, and navigate challenges that affect the family system as a whole. Rather than focusing on one individual alone, she helps family members understand how their interactions, roles, and patterns influence one another. Through guided conversations and evidence-based techniques, Jocelyn supports families in resolving conflict, building empathy, and developing healthier ways of relating. 

Jocelyn approach is grounded in person-centered care, creating a supportive space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. By meeting each person where they are, she works collaboratively with clients to explore their experiences, strengthen self-understanding, and build meaningful paths toward emotional well-being.

Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Jocelyn helps clients identify patterns in thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that may be contributing to distress. Together with clients, they develop practical strategies to challenge unhelpful thinking, improve coping skills, and create healthier responses to life’s difficulties. This approach allows clients to make tangible progress while honoring their unique values, goals, and personal strengths.
