About Me

Sloan Post is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has dedicated her career to supporting children, parents, and families through life’s most meaningful and challenging moments. She earned her Master’s in Social Work from Hunter College’s Silberman School of Social Work in New York City, completing a trauma-focused concentration developed by the National Child Traumatic Stress Network (nctsn.org). Through this program, she gained specialized training in Child-Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) and experience supporting new parents and young children healing from trauma.

Sloan’s path as a clinician has taken her into a wide range of environments: a preschool, a child welfare agency, an early childhood mental health clinic, and family homes as an executive functioning coach. These experiences shaped her ability to see the whole picture of a family’s life and to adapt her approach with flexibility and care. Today, she draws on this background to meet clients of all ages—from infants to teens, young adults, and parents—with an understanding of the different needs and pressures each stage of life can bring.

With warmth and curiosity at the center of her work, Sloan creates a space where clients feel both deeply supported and gently encouraged toward growth. She values collaboration and believes that therapy should be a place where people feel safe to be fully themselves. Her approach blends compassion with evidence-based practices, including Perinatal Mental Health (PMH-C), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), Emotion Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions (SPACE), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and many more. Rather than relying on a single framework, Sloan integrates her training in ways that feel natural and responsive to each client’s unique story.

At the heart of her practice is a belief in the resilience of people and the healing power of connection. Sloan is honored to walk alongside children, parents, and families, to help them discover strengths, restore balance, and build pathways toward hope and well-being.
