Getting Started with Therapy
If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward emotionally, therapy may be a good next step. During an initial consultation, we’ll help determine if therapy is a good fit and recommend a course of action
The first session is a chance to get to know your therapist, share what’s bringing you to therapy, and set goals. It’s a supportive, no-pressure space to start your journey.
Yes. We offer free 15–20 minute phone consultations to help you get a feel for our approach and determine if we’re the right fit for your needs.
Yes, you can choose your provider. During your free introductory call, we’ll discuss your preferences, needs, and goals to help match you with a clinician who feels like the right fit for you.
Therapy Process and Approach
We use evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), play therapy, family systems, trauma-informed care, and mindfulness-based interventions—tailored to each client’s age and needs.
Children may engage through play or art, teens through a combination of talk and skill-building, and adults through collaborative goal setting and deeper emotional work. Every client receives a personalized approach.
When working with children or teens, we often involve parents to enhance support and progress. For family or sibling therapy, all members play an active role in sessions.
Practical Information
Most sessions are 50 minutes long. In some cases—such as family or parent coaching sessions—extended sessions may be available by request.
Weekly sessions are common, especially in the beginning. Over time, frequency may adjust based on progress and your comfort level.
Yes. We offer secure telehealth sessions for clients who prefer or require virtual care. In-person sessions are also available.

Absolutely. We support women during pregnancy, postpartum, and early motherhood, helping them navigate emotional shifts, identity changes, and mental health concerns.
Administrative Details and Policies
We are an out-of-network provider. We’re happy to provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Please check with your provider for out-of-network coverage.
We require 24-hour notice for cancellations. Sessions canceled with less notice may be subject to a full session fee.
We accept payment via credit/debit card and HSA/FSA cards. Payment is due at the time of service.
Making Progress in Therapy
You may notice improvements in mood, coping, relationships, or decision-making. Progress isn’t always linear, but your therapist will regularly check in with you about goals and growth.
It’s normal to hit plateaus. We encourage open communication and will work with you to adjust goals, approaches, or session structure as needed.
Yes. Some clients come for a few focused sessions, while others engage in long-term work. Therapy is personalized based on your goals and what feels right for you.
