About Me

Ellen works with adults, adolescents, and families in all forms, including blended, adoptive and chosen families. Whether someone is struggling with depression, anxiety, anger, relationship conflict, or attachment concerns, Ellen offers care that is both evidence-based and deeply compassionate. She views therapy as a partnership that is grounded in trust and thoughtful reflection, bringing meaningful change.

Ellen also assists parents navigating emotional or behavioral challenges with their children, with particular attention to attachment and relational dynamics. She brings experience working with adults facing infertility and complex family-building journeys. Her approach is inclusive, compassionate, and focused on helping individuals and families strengthen connection, improve communication, and create a calmer, more supportive home environment.

Known for a warm, down-to-earth style and gentle humor, Ellen brings a goal-oriented, collaborative approach to therapy. She helps clients uncover what may be getting in the way of emotional well-being, clarify personal and relational goals, and build practical coping strategies and emotional regulation skills. Her work integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness, and Family Systems approaches.

Before becoming a therapist, Ellen spent years in the corporate world and earned an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business. With advanced training in both business and social work, she brings a unique perspective that blends practical problem-solving with clinical insight. Her skills are seen as particularly helpful for executives and professional men and women navigating work-life demands, managing pressure, overwhelm, or complex life decisions.

Many people reach a point when they realize something needs to change – patterns repeat, emotions feel heavier than they should, or relationships begin to strain. Therapy with Ellen provides a safe, supportive space to slow down, make sense of what’s happening, and explore a more grounded, connected way forward. Together, clients work toward emotional clarity, personal growth, and stronger, more connected relationships that extend beyond the therapy room.
