About Me
Hi, I’m Josephine. I believe that every behavior, belief, and pattern has a deeper story to be untangled and understood. While some undesired patterns or beliefs might often feel set in stone, I hold the conviction that every individual and relationship is capable of change.
At the heart of my therapeutic approach is the understanding that our well-being and self-identity are shaped by how we relate to ourselves, to others, and to the events in our lives. With humility and compassion, I strive to meet each individual where they are and provide guidance and encouragement towards new paths forward.
I completed my undergraduate studies at Manhattan College, and am currently earning my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy at Iona University. There, I am being trained in systems theory, viewing struggle not only as individual experiences, but also in the broader context of relational dynamics. This foundation allows me to bring an integrative, systemic model tailored to the unique experience of the individual, couple, or family.
As a Franco-American immigrant, I recognize how culture, spirituality, and values shape an individual’s story. I strive to honor these influences in therapy, creating space for experiences to be explored fully. I am also able to provide services in both French and English, supporting individuals in the language that feels most comfortable to them.
